AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 94-70, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY
1, 1994, TO JUNE 3Q, 1995.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 94-70, as amended, relating to public improvements and
financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 1994, to June 30, 1995, is hereby amended by adding
the following projects:
Department of Public Works
Alii Drive Shoreline Protection $ 97,000
Waikoloa School Sidewalks 150,000
Kalopa Bypass Road 250,000
Kealakehe Sewage Effluent 5,000,000
Fire Department
Waimea and Central Stations Retrofit 82,500
Department of Parks and Recreation
Alae Cemetery Expansion 215,000
Rural Cemeteries 500,000
Kona Swimming Pool 2,000,000
Puna Swimming Pool 500,000
Improvements to Panaewa Equestrian Center 200,000
Improvements to Honokaa Arena 200,000
Playground Equipment Upgrade 675,000
($75,000 per Council District)
Kahuku Park Upgrade 250,000
Keaau Community Center 1,000,000
Kurtistown Park Expansion 250,000
Planning, Design & Construction of
Community Theatre 400,000
(Only if matched by private or State appropriations)
Waiakeawaena Playground 40,000
Carvalho Park Lighting System Repair 125,000
Hokulani Street Community Park 100,000
Section 2. Funds for the foregoing projects shall be provided from general obligation bond
proceeds or any other available funding source.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
