Aloha to the Hilo boys and Mr. Hoffman,
I am writing to ask you guys to reconsider your support for Bill 49. It is wrong to do so when the county has a
chance to purchase land for the good of the county and to preserve open spaces now while prices are
dropping. Balance the budget elsewhere by having more accountability in your departments. People joke
about county and state workers because there is some truth to it. Unless you cut that crap out the county's
credibility will remain a joke.The deal with the bulldozer is unfortunate, just as suspending the 2% land fund at
this time would be foolish. Please do the right thing and vote no to Bill 49.
