AMEND 2% CODE
1. Change code to allow Seller to obtain its own appraiser if County and Seller
cannot agree on County appraisal. If both appraisers cannot agree on price than
both appraisers select a third appraiser and all three come up with a value.
Acquisitions will still need County Council approval.
2. When properties are selected to a prioritized list for possible acquisition (say the
top 5) than appraisals should be ordered instantly for all prioritized parcels
whether or not funding is available for acquisition. The lag time to wait until one
parcel is purchased before the next process to acquire the second takes too long.
This way the Seller and the County can agree or go through the appraisal process
in a timely manner.
