HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 203 Draft 01 2008-2010COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 203 09 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR A COPIER WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for three (3) years for one (1) copier for the Department of Parks and Recreation's Elderly Activities Division (EAD); and WHEREAS, the multi-year lease on the current copier will be expiring soon and the division wishes to enter into another lease of a new medium volume copier; and WHEREAS, the copier is used heavily by the EAD Administration, Elderly Recreation Services and Coordinated Services Program for the Elderly offices at the Kamana Senior Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year lease agreement of a copier for the Department of Parks and Recreation's Elderly Activities Division. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk transmit copies of this resolution to the Departments of Finance and Parks and Recreation. Dated at xona ,Hawaii, this 19th day of August , 2009.
