RESOLUTION N0. 8 94
(DRAFT 2)
WHEREAS, Section 46-32, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Relating
to Employees of Council, authorizes the Council of any County
to appoint and employ personnel as it deems necessary and to
prescribe their powers, duties and compensation; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, provides for
interim amendments to the Salary Ordinance to be made by
resolution; and
WHEREAS, after careful review of the staffing needs of the
Office of the County Council, the Council finds that it needs
to reorganize the Office of the County Council by providing the
necessary staff to be able to best serve the Council; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the salaries and wages account
of the Office of the County Council are not needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED HY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following positions be created in the Office
of the County Council:
3 Council Aide III CA-III
1 Legislative Auditor/Assistant II LA-2
1 Legislative Auditor/Research Assistant LA-2
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Section 8 of Ordinance 96-69 is
hereby amended by adding the following position:
Legislative Auditor/Research Assistant LA-2
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Departments of Civil Service and Finance and
the Office of the County Council.
