RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM RICHARD CLARENCE ZELL AND ROSE MARY ZELL; TAX MAP
KEY NUMBER (3)1-2-028-030.
WHEREAS, RICHARD CLARENCE ZELL and ROSE MARY ZELL are the
owners of real property in Pacific Paradise Ocean Front Estates
Subdivision, in Puna, specifically Tax Map Key Number
(3)1-2-028-030; consisting of 8,437 square feet; and
WHEREAS, this property has been inundated with lava and is
of no present or foreseeable future use to Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Zell; and
WHEREAS, they have graciously donated this property to the
County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of real property, identified as Tax Map Key Number
(3)1-2-028-030, consisting of 8,437 square feet, from Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Zell.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Zell.
