RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM MELVIN KATSUTOSHI HONDA AND GERALDINE YIT NGAN
HONDA; TAX MAP KEY NUMBER (3)1-1-109-013.
WHEREAS, MELVIN KATSUTOSHI HONDA and GERALDINE YIT NGAN
HONDA are the owners of real property in Royal Gardens
Subdivision, Unit IV, in Puna, specifically Tax Map Key Number
(3)1-1-109-013; consisting of 51,672 square feet; and
WHEREAS, this property has been inundated with lava and is
of no present or foreseeable future use to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin
Honda; and
WHEREAS, they have graciously donated this property to the
County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
OF HAWAII, that in accorda;
the Hawaii County Charter,
donation of real property,
(3)1-1-109-013, consisting
Mrs. Melvin Honda.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
Zce with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the County of Hawaii accepts the
identified as Tax Map Key Number
of 51,672 square feet, from Mr. and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Honda.
