RESOLUTION
RBSOLUTION AUTHORIZING THB COUHTY OF HAWAII TO 6NTBR INTO AH AGRBBHBNT WITH
THB UHITBD STATBS OF AlIBRICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A DARB/DOB GRANT.
WHBRBAS, the United States of America through the Department of
Education office of Instructional Services, is desirous of providing funding
For expenses incurred while conducting two DARE Summer Leadership Camps,
sending officers to the DARB Hentor Training and National Officers
Association Conference and provide some learning materials; and
WHBRBAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to
proceed with its obligations under the DARB program;
WHBRBAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes,
the Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the
County of Hawaii providing the expenditure or receipt of funds or for other
assistance;
NOW, THBRBFORB BB IT RBSOLVBD BY THB COUNCIL OF THB COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Honorable Stephen K. Yamashiro is hereby authorized and designated
to sign in the name of the County Project Number 93-DH-12, which will
effectuate these purposes.
BB IT FURTHER RBSOLVBD, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to
forward copies of this Resolution to said Hayor Yamashiro, the Chief of
Police, and any other interested governmental agencies.
