RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TO FORMALLY BID AND NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT
REQUIRING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE
THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR MANAGING, ADMINISTERING AND FURNISHING
FLIGHT OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT FOR HAWAII COUNTY' S
HELICOPTERS.
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department wishes to submit a formal bid proposal,
pursuant to chapter 103D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, for managing, administering and furnishing
flight operations, maintenance and support for Hawaii County's helicopters, including all
necessary pilots, personnel, inspectors, manuals, parts, petroleum products, labor, equipment,
tools, supplies and library; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to obtain a contract with a maximum term of
seven yeazs; and
WHEREAS, article X, section 10-11 of the Hawaii County Charter, requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring the payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal
year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made or approved by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII, that in accordance with article X, section 10-11 of the Hawaii County Charter, the
Hawaii County Fire Department is authorized to formally bid and negotiate a contract requiring
the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year to be presented to the
Council for approval.
