RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF D.A.R.E. T-SHIRTS FROM THE
EXCHANGE CLUB OF HILO.
WHEREAS, the Exchange C/ub of Hilo, whose President is Milton Ya/uso, and Project Chairman is Owen
Nakatsu of Hi/o, Hawaii has donated 157 D.A.R.E. Ash Colored T-Shirts with screened red and black D.A.R.E.
logo, to the Hawaii Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the retail value of the donated T-Shirts is sixhundred ninety-seven da//ais and no cents
15697.001; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13.12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf
of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance
with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Hawaii Police Department is authorized to
accept the donation of 157 D.A.R.E. Ash Colored T•Shirts with screened red and black D.A.R.E. logo from the
Exchange Club o/Hilo.
