HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 118 Draft 01 1994-1996-.~-. q COUNTY OF HAWAII STA1`E OF HAWAII RESOLUTION N0. li8 95 WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 19, of the Hawaii County Code provides that the County Council may, by resolution, approved by the majority of its members, dispose of real property; and WHEREAS, the cottage (formerly occupied by road overseer) constructed in 1922 on Highway 11 (Mamalahoa Highway) across from Waiohinu Road Haseyard is deteriorated due to weathering and age; and WHEREAS, the cottage presents a safety hazard to the community and public; and WHEREAS, the Department of Finance previously advertised the sale of the buildings, but were unable to attract bidders due to high cost of liability insurance required by the County to remove the buildings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that: 1. In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2, Article 19 of the Hawaii County Code, the Director of Finance be authorized to dispose of the cottage located at Waiohinu, Hawaii, TMK: 9-5-01-021, by demolition. 2. The Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Chief Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, and the Director of Finance.
