RESOLUTION N0. 2~ 95
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF A CONTRACT WITH ROTOR
WING HAWAII, INC.
WHEREAS, orr August 24, 1994, the County Council approved
Resolution 259-94, Draft 2, which authorized a multi-year contract
with Rotor Wing Hawaii, Inc., requiring the payment of funds of a
later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year in accordance
with Article X, section 10-11, of the Hawaii County Charter; and
WHEREAS, the Council amended Resolution 259-94 to approve the
multi-year contract with Rotor Wing Hawaii, Inc., but to specify
that the contract shall expire and terminate on June 30, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department has been unable to
complete the formal bidding process to provide helicopter
maintenance, repairs and pilots for the Fire Department's
helicopters; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Fire Department wishes to extend
its contract with Rotor Wing Hawaii, Inc., for an additional six
months through December 31, 1995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
of HAWAII, that the Hawaii County Fire Department is authorized to
extend its contract with Rotor Wing Hawaii, Inc., to continue to
provide maintenance, repairs and pilots for the Fire Department's
helicopters for an additional six months through December 31, 1995.
