RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS FROM THE
APPROPRIATIONS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR OR OF MORE THAN ONE
FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Hawaii County Charter
provides that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal year or more than one fiscal year be approved
by resolution of the Council of the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, a lease, Contract No. 92027, as amended,
between the County of Hawaii and K. Taniguchi, Ltd., a
Hawaii Corporation, for certain office spaces will be
terminating on September 30, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to extend the term of the
lease for another year commencing on October 1, 1995, and
ending on September 30, 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that sufficient funds be budgeted from
the appropriations of the 1995-96 and 1996-97 fiscal years
to cover the lease rental payments for the term commencing
October 1, 1995, and ending September 30, 1996.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii transmit copies of this resolution to the Honorable
Stephen K. Yamashiro, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, and
Mr. Harry A. Takahashi, Director of Finance.
