RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM NOBUKO K. FUKUDA, TRUSTEE; TAX MAP KEY NUMBER
(3)2-2-043-100 (PORTION).
WHEREAS, Nobuko K. Fukuda, Trustee, is the owner of real
property in Hilo, Hawaii, specifically Tax Map Key Number
(3)2-2-043-100, which contains a thirty foot radius curve,
consisting of approximately 193 square feet; and
WHEREAS, that portion of her property is presently being
used as a roadway shoulder for Palai Street; and
WHEREAS, this area is also used by the police, when using
the police call box at this location; and
WHEREAS, she has graciously donated this portion of her
property to the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of real property, identified as Tax Map Key Number
(3)2-2-043-100 (portion), consisting of 193 square feet, from
Nobuko K. Fukuda, Trustee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Mrs. Nobuko K. Fukuda.
