RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF LAND DONATION FROM CHALON
INTERNATIONAL
WHEREAS, Chalon International of Hawaii, Inc., of Hawi, Hawaii,
has donated a piece of property (8,000 square feet) in North Kohala,
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the property will be the site of the proposed community
meeting facility to serve as a respite center for the frail and
elderly as well as a youth center; and
WHEREAS, the value of the donated property is Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate.
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii
County Charter, the County of Hawaii, is authorized to accept the
donation of the 8,000 square foot property located in Hawi, Hawaii.
