RESOLUTION N0. ~ 95
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that
any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of
funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is essential for the County of Hawaii to
provide on-site management services at the County-owned Kulaimano
Elderly Housing Project; and
WHEREAS, it is in the tenants' best interest that the
manager know their needs and that they have a stable relationship
with the manager; and
WHEREAS, it is in the project's best interest that the
manager is familiar with all aspects of the project; and
WHEREAS, more than one year is required to establish the
necessary working relationship to effectively serve the project
and its tenants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into a
three (3) year contract for the provision of professional
management services at the Kulaimano Elderly Housing Project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Office of the Mayor, the Department of Finance
and the Office of Housing and Community Development.
