RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A STREET LIGHT SYSTEM
FROM KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION (KIC).
WHEREAS, KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION, hereinafter referred
to as KIC, whose administrative manager is Joseph K. Spencer, III, has donated a street light
system along Alii Drive between Kahalu'u Beach Pazk and the Keauhou Shopping Center, to the
County of Hawaii; and
WI~REAS, the value of this donation is ONE HUNDRED ONE THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED FIFTEEN AND 04/I00 DOLLARS ($101,415.04); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that
the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the
County of Hawaii is authorized to accept the donation of a street light system from KIC.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmit a copy
of this resolution to the Department of Finance, Accounts Division, and to the Department of
Public Works, Traffic Safety Division.
