AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-257, schedule 5 (35 mile per hour limit), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: f~ Hina-Lani Street, Mamalahoa Highwav (Route 190) to Anini Street. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-260, schedule 8 (45 mile per hour limit), subsection (f) Kona, item (1), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows: (1) [Hinalani] Hina-Lani Street, [from] Anini Street to [the unnamed private road (Road "F") which leads to Costco.] Kamanu Street. SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking at anytime), subsection (f) Kona, item (18), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows: (18) Hina-Lani Street, [beginning at] Queen Kaahumanu Highway [and extending mauka for a distance of .4 mile to the unnamed roadway serving Costco.] to Kamanu Street. SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
