RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM ANN C. MULLEN, DOUGLAS L. MACARTHUR AND ADELE N.
MACARTHUR; TAX MAP KEY NUMBER (3)3-6-005-047.
WHEREAS, ANN C. MULLEN, DOUGLAS L. MACARTHUR and ADELE N.
MACARTHUR are the owners of real property in Waipunalei, North
Hilo, Hawaii, specifically Tax Map Key Number (3)3-6-005-047;
consisting of approximately 0.032 acre, being more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on Exhibit "B" attached
hereto; and
WHEREAS, the County homestead road (Stevens Road) infringes
upon the subject property; and
WHEREAS, Ann C. Mullen, Douglas L. MacArthur and Adele N.
MacArthur have graciously donated this property to the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of real property, identified as Tax Map Key Number
(3)3-6-005-047, consisting of 0.032 acre, from Ann C. Mullen,
Douglas L. MacArthur and Adele N. MacArthur.
BE ZT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Ann C. Mullen, Douglas L. MacArthur and Adele N. MacArthur.

Being a portion of Grant 5563 to Manuel Peter
Situated at Waipunalei Homesteads, North Hilo,
Island of Hawaii, Hawaii.
Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of this parcel of land
along the Southeasterly side of the Homestead Road (40.00 feet
wide), the coordinates of said point of beginning referred to
Government Survey Triangulation Station "Waipunalei" being 956.46
feet South and 3,265.27 feet West, thence running by azimuths
measured clockwise from True South;
1. 218° 32' 00" 80.94 feet along the Southeasterly side
of the Homestead Road;
2. 282° 52' 00" 58.66 feet along the Southerly side of the
Homestead Road;
3. 73° 55' 00" 59.42 feet along the Southerly side of the
Homestead Road;
4. Along the Southerly side of the intersection of two Homestead
Roads on a curve to the left with a
radius of 100.00 feet, the chord
azimuth and distance being:
56° 13' 30" 60.78 feet to the
point of beginning and containing an
area of 0.032 acre.
