RESOLUTION No. 235 95
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTIES FROM C. BREWER HOMES, INC.; TAX MAP KEY NUMBER (3)
2-8-07-69, LOTS 2-A-1 AND 2-A-3.
WHEREAS, C. Brewer Homes, Inc., is the owner of real
properties in Kulaimano, Pepeekeo, District of South Hilo,
described as Tax Map Key Number (3) 2-8-07-69, Lots 2-A-1 and
2-A-3; consisting of approximately 1.000 acre and 5.487 acres
respectively; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii and C. Brewer Homes, Inc.,
have been working together for over fifteen years to implement an
orderly and well rounded development plan for the community of
Kulaimano; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an agreement dated February 28, 1994,
C. Brewer Homes, Inc., agreed to donate tfo hthe°developmentaofea
of its property to be used by the County
County park; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an agreement dated June 21, 1995,
C. Brewer Homes, Inc., agreed to donate to the County 1.000 acre
of its property to be used by the County for the development of a
fire station; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
