RESOLUTION
WHSR6AS, Section 10-11 of the County Charmentrofufundstfromathe

appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one fiscal year be app
by resolution; and
WH8R6AS, the County wishes to enter into a mmachinesr onesfor1Pol.ice
purchase option Eor five (5) years for five (5) copy
Administration, one for Records Division, one for Police Commission, one for
Kona CID and one Eor the Cellblock; and
WH6RRAS, due to the frequent downtime caused by the present aging
equipment, the divisions have had to tolerate lost man-hours due to machine
incurredlbysthe departmentcby tradingsthe oldemachinesvandsleasinglthese
machines; and
Wl(6R6AS, State Bid Proposal #PL96-14 and County Bid Proposal #1583
indicate that the market is right Eor the replacement of these machines; and
WII6RBAS, the acquisition of these machines will reduce downtime,
thereby improving productivity and efficiency of department employees and a
cost saving for the County; and
NOW, TH8R6FOR6 B6 IT RBSOLVHD that the Council of the County of
Hawaii hereby authorizes tCionsyfortthenacquisitionfof five (5)rcopysmachines
agreement with purchase op
for the Police Department.
