COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION N0. w~~ ~~
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LAND USE LICENSE WITH
KAHUA RANCH.
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires
that any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal
year or more than one fiscal year be approved by
resolution; and
WHEREAS., the Hawaii County Police Department is
currently using an antennae site at Pu'u Waikanoula, South
Kohala, on the property of Kahua Ranch Limited, and
WHEREAS, the original license agreement by which this
site was obtained has expired, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is desirous of
continuing the use of this site, and
WHEREAS, Kahua Ranch Limited is willing to continue
this license at nominal rent, for a period of ten (10)
years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into
a renewal of the Land Use License with Kahua Ranch Limited
for a radio communication antennae site at Pu'u
Waikanoula, South Kohala.
2. That funding to pay for the agreement is approved
for future fiscal years.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be forwarded to Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, Director of
Finance and Kahua Ranch Limited.
