RESOLUTION N0. $1:t 4s,-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF APPROXIMATELY THREE ACRES
OF LAND FROM FIRST HAWAIIAN SANK FOR A CIVIC CENTER IN
WAIKOLOA.
WHEREAS, First Hawaiian Bank has donated approximately
three acres of land located in Waikoloa for use by the County
of Hawaii as a civic center; and
WHEREAS, part of the three acres will be used as the site
of the Waikoloa Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter, provides that the Council, on behalf of the County,
may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII,
Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii accepts the donation of approximately three acres of
land located in Waikoloa from First Hawaiian Bank for the
purpose of developing a civic center as evidenced by the deed
executed April 2, 1976, attached as Exhibit "A".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is hereby
directed to forward copies of this resolution to the Hawaii
County Fire Department and First Hawaiian Bank.
