RESOLUTION N0. 382 96
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation, Aquatics
Division, has 48 County positions, 10 State-funded temporary
positions and 21 temporary County positions; and
WHEREAS, these positions care for the safety and welfare of the
public by covering the Richardson Ocean Park Center, 7 pools, 9
County beach parks,-and 1 State beach park; and
WHEREAS, included in the 10 State-funded temporary positions is
the lone clerical position in the division, an Account Clerk 1/2T
Temporary position, who handles all of the requisitions, petty cash
reimbursements, purchase orders, CPA's, time sheets, and mileage
claims forms; and
WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of Position No. 3817,
Account Clerk 1/2T Temporary to fulltime temporary, with the
additional funding being County funded, the accounting and general
office work can be performed in a timely manner; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient County funds within the Department
of Parks and Recreation, Aquatics Division, to cover the cost of the
additional time element.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that Position No. 3817, Account Clerk 1/2T Temporary, SR-11,
be changed to Account Clerk Temporary, SR-11.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that County funds are available
within the Department of Parks and Recreation, Aquatics
Division.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Departments of Parks & Recreation, Finance
and Civil Service.
