ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2000.
WHEREAS, Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro has disapproved the Council's action
to establish a Contingency Relief Appropriation; and
WHEREAS, after adjustments for vetoed actions, there remains $561,113 in
unappropriated revenues in the General Fund of the Operating Budget for the Fiscal Yeaz
ending June 30, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Yamashiro is proposing to appropriate the $561,113 to the
Provision for Compensation Adjustment account in the General Fund to provide funding
for cost increases granted by the SHOPO arbitration panel.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The Operating Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2000, is
hereby amended by increasing the Provision For Compensation Adjustment account in
the General Fund by $561,113.
SECTION 2. Funds for this appropriation shall be provided from the
unappropriated revenues in the General Fund.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval
