RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, provides for
interim amendments to the ordinance establishing the pay plan for
the County be made by resolution of the Council; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 92-75, the Salary Ordinance of 1992,
establishes the pay grades for the County Clerk and the Legislative
Auditor at the A-17 level; and
~^IEREAS, the County Clerk and the Legislative Auditor are the
primary administrative staff for the County Council; and
WHEREAS, the pay grades for department heads of administrative
offices are at the A-18 level; and
WHEREAS, the County Council finds that the County Clerk and the
Legislative Auditor should be at comparable status of any
administrative head.
NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that Section 8.01 of Ordinance 92-75 is hereby amended by
changing the pay grades of the County Clerk and Legislative Auditor
from A-17 to A-18.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds are available in the Salaries
and Wages account due to vacancies.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Departments of Finance and Civil Service.
