RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF A NEW MARINE CITIZEN BAND
RADIO, ANTENNA AND ANTENNA MOUNT FROM MERVIN MEDEIROS OF
HONOLULU, HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Mervin Medeiros of Honolulu, Hawaii, has donated a
new Horizon 27 MHz Marine Citizen Band Radio, a new Shakespeare
fiberglass CB antenna and a new D. Lilly & Co. plastic antenna
mount to be installed and used by the Hawaii County Fire
Department in its Rescue Boat 2 based at the Waiakea Fire
Station; and
WHEREAS, installation of the donated equipment will allow
communication with all ocean vessels in need of assistance; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts or donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of a new marine citizen band radio, antenna and antenna
mount from Mervin Medeiros of Honolulu, Hawaii.
