RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF AN ENERGY
EFFICIENT LIGHTING SYSTEM FROM HAWAII ELECTRIC LIGHT Company, INC.
WHEREAS, Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc. (HELLO) has
donated an energy efficient lighting system to the County of
Hawaii consisting of T-8 fluorescent lamps and electronic high
efficiency ballasts; and
WHEREAS, HELLO hopes that the installation of the energy
efficient lighting system will demonstrate the quality and
effectiveness of energy efficient lighting; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts or donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii is authorized to
accept the donation of an energy efficient lighting system from
Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc.
