RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A MOTOROLA "BRAVO"
PAGER FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER OF WEST HAWAII
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Children's Advocacy Center of West
Hawaii, whose Program Director is Marianne B. Okamura, of Kona, has
donated a black Motorola "Bravo" pager to the Hawaii County Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, the retail value of the donated pager is one hundred
nineteen dollars and seventy-nine cents ($119.79); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter
provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or
donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County
Charter, the Hawaii County Police Department is authorized to accept the
donation of a black Motorola pager from the Friends of the Children's
Advocacy Center of West Hawaii.
