RESOLUTION N0. 144 b3
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM EI KIMURA AND SHISABURO KIMURA; TAX MAP KEY
NUMBER (3) 1-2-036:027.
WHEREAS, Ei Kimura and Shisaburo Kimura are the owners of
real property in Keekee-Kehena in Puna, specifically Tax Map Key
Number (3) 1-2-036:027; and
WHEREAS, this property has been inundated with lava and is of
no present or foreseeable future use to Ei Kimura and Shisaburo
Kimura; and
WHEREAS, they have donated these properties to the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIZI, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of real property, identified by Tax Map Key
Number (3) 1-2-036:027, from Ei Kimura and Shisaburo Kimura.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Ei Kimura and Shisaburo Kimura by the Council.
