RESOLUTION N0. 161 94
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM KENNETH YOSHIO NAKAGAWA AND MAY SACHIKO NAKAGAWA;
TAX MAP KEY NUMBER (3) 1-1-117:020.
WHEREAS, Kenneth Yoshio Nakagawa and May Sachiko Nakagawa are
the owners of real property in the Royal Gardens Subdivision in
Puna, specifically Tax Map Key Number (3) 1-1-117:020; consisting
of approximately 43,560 square feet; and
WHEREAS, this property has been inundated with lava and is of
no present. or foreseeable future use to Kenneth Yoshio Nakagawa
and May Sachiko Nakagawa; and
WHEREAS, they have donated these properties to the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of real property, identified by Tax Map Key
Number (3) 1-1-117:020, consisting of 43,560 square feet from
Kenneth Yoshio Nakagawa and May Sachiko Nakagawa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Kenneth Yoshio Nakagawa and May Sachiko Nakagawa by the Council.
