RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, provides
that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept
gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Kenneth Bloom, President and General Manager
of Hawaiian Solar Services, has offered to donate a solar
water heating system for the Kailua-Kona Animal Shelter;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bloom's firm will also install the system
free of charge; and
WHEREAS, the system is valued at $4,500.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that it accepts the generous donation by
Hawaii Solar Services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be
forwarded to the Department of Finance.
