RESOLUTION N0. 198 9~
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF EIGHT MOTOROLA KEYNOTE VOICE
PAGERS FROM THE HAWAII INSURERS COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Insurers Council has donated eight
Motorola Keynote voice pagers to be used by the Laupahoehoe
volunteer firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the utilization of the donated pagers will permit
the Laupahoehoe volunteer firefighters to be immediately
notified of fire emergencies; and
WHEREAS, swift notification will decrease the response time
of the Laupahoehoe volunteer firefighters; and
WHEREAS, decreased response time translates into greater
fire protection for those served by the Laupahoehoe volunteer
firefighters; and
WHEREAS, article XIII, section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts or donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with article XIIi, section 13-12
of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of eight Motorola Keynote voice pagers from the Hawaii
Insurers Council. •1 1994.
