RESOLUTION N0. z24 94
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A STREET LIGHT SYSTEM
FROM KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION (KIC).
WHEREAS, KAMEHAMEHA INVESTMENT CORPORATION, hereinafter
referred to as KIC, whose administrative manager is
Joseph Spencer, iii, has donated a street light system along Alii
Highway between Kaluna Street and Kaleopapa Street to the County
of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the value of this donation is Forty Six Thousand
Four Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($46,400.00); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the County
of Hawaii that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii is authorized to
accept the donation of a street light system from KIC.
A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the
Department of Finance Accounts Division, and to the Department of
Public Works, Traffic Safety Division.
