ATTEST:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A PING-PONG TABLE TO
PAPAALOA GYM FROM HAWAII ISLAND YWCA, EKAHI PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, Hawaii Island YWCA, Ekahi Program, Hamakua area,
has donated a ping-pong table; and
WHEREAS, the ping-pong table is donated to the Papaaloa
Gym and is for use by the teen youths of the community; and
WHEREAS, the value of the donated ping-pong table is
approximately Two Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($225); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section
13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Department oP Parks and
Recreation is authorized to accept the donation of a ping-pong
table to Papaaloa Gym from Hawaii Island YWCA, Ekahi Program.
