RESOLUTION N0. 25Z 94
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF STORM DRAIN MANHOLES
AND A 42-INCH CORRUGATED ALUMINUM PIPE FROM JAMES K. SCHULER &
ASSOCIATES, INC.
WHEREAS, JAMES K. SCHULER & ASSOCIATES, INC., whose
Executive Vice President is Michael T. Jones, has donated to the
County of Hawaii storm drain manholes and a 42-inch corrugated
aluminum pipe, which are located on Lot 5, File Plan 2038
(TMK: 6-8-02:26), which is owned by the County of Hawaii and
which runs adjacent and parallel to Paniolo Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the value of this donation is One Hundred Six
Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($106,000.00); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may
accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate;
NOV7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the County
of Hawaii that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii is authorized to
accept the donation of storm drain manholes and a 42-inch
corrugated aluminum pipe from James K. Schuler & Associates, Inc.
A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the
Department of Finance, Accounts Division and to the Department
of Public Works.
