RESOLUTION N0. 394
RESOLUTIOR AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMEHT WITH
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A MARIJUANA
ERADICATION GRANT.
WHEREAS, the United States of America through the Drug Hnforcement
Administration, is desirous of providing funding for expenses incurred in
conducting marijuana eradication missions in the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to
proceed with its obligations under the Marijuana Eradication program;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes,
the Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the
County of Hawaii providing the expenditure or receipt of funds or for other
assistance;
NOW, THRRRFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THS COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Honorable Stephen K. Yamashiro is hereby authorized and designated
to sign in the name of the County Project Number 94-16, which will effectuate
these purposes.
BE IT FURTHER ABSOLVED, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to
forward copies of this Resolution to said Mayor Yamashiro, the Chief of
Police, and any other interested governmental agencies.
