RESOLUTION N0. 306 94
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TH6 COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A SEATBELT SNFORCEM
GRANT.
WHEREAS, the United States of America through the State Department
of Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Office (MVSO), is desirous of
providing funding for expenses incurred in conducting seatbelt enforcement
roadblocks in the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to
proceed with its obligations under the seatbelt Enforcement program;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes,
the Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the
County of Hawaii providing the expenditure or receipt of funds oc for other
assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE B6 IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TH6 COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Honorable Stephen K. Yamashiro is hereby authorized and designated
to sign in the name of the County Project Number OP95-05(02-H-02), which will
effectuate these purposes.
BS IT FURTHER RSSDLVED, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to
