RESOLUTION N0. 3Q8 94
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
TH6 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A
PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE/MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION GRANT.
WHEREAS, the United States of America through the State Department
of Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Office (MVSO), is desirous of
providing funding for expenses to be incurred during a Motorcycle and
Pedestrian Reconstruction Training Course in the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willing to
proceed with its obligations under the Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motorcycle Accident
Reconstruction;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes,
the Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the
County of Hawaii providing the expenditure or receipt of funds or for other
assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the Honorable Stephen K. Yamashiro is hereby authorized and designated
to sign in the name of the County Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motorcycle Accident
Reconstruction Project, which will effectuate these purposes.
BS IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to
forward copies of this Resolution to said Mayor Yamashiro, the ChieF of
Police, and any other interested governmental agencies.
