RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Helene H. Hale's political career began
in 1954 when she was elected to the Board of Supervisors and later
elected Chairman and Executive Officer of the County of Hawaii in
1962; and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Helene H. Hale served as Chairman and a
member of numerous committees during her three full terms as a
member of the Hawaii County Council; and
WHEREAS, over the years, Councilwoman Helene H. Hale has
unselfishly devoted her time and efforts as a loyal and dedicated
public servant to the people of Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, Councilwoman Helene H. Hale completes her term as a
Hawaii County Councilmember on December 5, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is truly
appreciative of their colleague's dedicated public service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it hereby extends its heartfelt appreciation to their
colleague, Helene H. Hale, for her many years of dedicated public
service together with their sincerest and best wishes on her
future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Helene H. Hale.
