Hawaii County Council at its meeting held on December 19, 1988,
with the intent to include myself as a candidate along with
other applicants to the appointed position of County Clerk,
County of Hawaii.
My resume was submitted along with the original
Resolution 12-88. At your pleasure, I will be available for
interviews or whatever format you may decide to review my
credentials, qualifications and concepts regarding this

Dear Chairman Kokubun and Members:
We the undersigned residents of the County of Hawaii
request that the Hawaii County Council reappoint Rudy
Legaspi as the County Clerk for the fallowing reasons:
1. He has served twelve years as the clerk with dignity
and has earned respect for the office of the County
Clerk an accomplishment needed to enhance public
confidence and communication.
2. His previous eight years as the Legislative Auditor
as well as serving on the first and third Charter
Commissions, will continue to provide the council
with an experienced in-house resource person.
3. His current and past participation in service
oriented organizations reflects his dedication to
the community.
4. His twenty years of continuous service and
experience will be needed during this transition
period affecting the Administration as well as with
the new council leadership.
