RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Kona Exchange Club will be sponsoring its eighth annual "Search
For Talent" contest at 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 6, 1989 in the Ellison
Onizuka Memorial Gym at Konawaena High School; and
WHEREAS, the "Search For Talent" contest is an opportunity for students to
exhibit their talents on stage in front of a live audience; and
WHEREAS, the contest is open to all elementary, intermediate and high school
students ages ten to nineteen; and
WHEREAS, the students will be competing in two divisions; Junior Division,
for ages ten to fifteen; and Senior Division, for ages sixteen to nineteen; and
WHEREAS, the winners of this competition will continue on to compete in the
Hawaii District finals to be held in August, 1989 in Kona.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
it supports the efforts of the Kona Exchange Club in promoting the talents of
our students.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii extends its
best wishes and good luck to all the contestants.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii is hereby
instructed to transmit copies of this resolution to Mr. Steve Bobko, President
of the Kona Exchange Club.
