RESOLUTION No
SB 89
WHEREAS, on August 19, 1981, the Hawaii County Council
adopted Resolution No. 175-81, thereby approving, in concept, the
Hilo District Wastewater Facilities Plan; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of the resolution was necessary to
satisfy Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements which
conditioned the County's eligibility for various federal grants
available for the construction of certain wastewater management
projects upon the approval of such facilities plans by the
legislative body of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Hilo District Wastewater Facilities Plan has
since been amended; and
WHEREAS, approval of the amendments by the County Council is
necessary to ensure that the County remain eligible for such
federal funding,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the amendment to the Hilo District Facilities Plan
is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public
Works, County of Hawaii.
