tiiHEREAS, Mr. Tomio Fujii, Deputy County Clerk of the County of
23awaii, retired from active government service on September 29,
19891 and
SvHEP.EAS, Mr. Fujii beyan his government service on December 4,
1972 as the elected County Councilman from the Puna llistrict and
served three terms for twelve continuous years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fujii concluded his active government service with
an additional four years and nine months as the Deputy County Clerk
of the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is appreciative of
the contributions of their former colleague both as a Ccuncilman and
as the Deputy County Clerk.
C~UW, '1"riEkEFORE, BE IT kbSOLVED T3Y THE COUNCIL OF TEtE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends to Deputy County Clerk Tomio Fujii its
sincere appreciation for his dedication, self sacrifice, and nearly
17 years of conscientious public service.
BE I`f FUkTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
transmit a true copy of this resolution to Tomio Fujii along with
the Council's best wishes for yoou health upon his teti.rement.
