WHEREAS, Mr. Tony Masayuki Taniguchi, Hilo businessman and
community leader, passed away on September 19, 1989, at the tender
age of 59 years old; ar~u
WHEREAS, t1r. Taniguchi exemplified true commitment and unselfish
dedication towaeJ the betterment of business and community affairs
of the &ig Island; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Taniguchi's contributions are only partially
recognized by the many awards conveyed upon him over the years, his
real achievements have been his involvement in the many
organizations and associations to which he belonged; and
WHEREAS, i9r. Taniguchi certainly leaves a legacy which will long
be remembered by those who have had the opportunity to interact with
hir. in t,is roles as employer, businessman and community leader; and
WHEREAS, although hir. Taniguchi will certainly be r;iissed by all,
his ideals ana cwamitment should serve as goals fcr others.
