COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 19, of the Hawaii County Code
provides that the County Council may by resolution, approved by a
majority of its members, dispose of real property; and
WHEREAS, four (4) buildings located at Kailua School are
surplus and may be removed due to construction of a new public
library facility; and
WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Library System will demolish the
buildings before commencing the construction of the facility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the County of
Hawaii that:
1. In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2, Article 19
of the Hawaii County Code, the Director of Finance be authorized to
dispose the buildings located at Kailua School, Kailua, Kona,
Hawaii, TMK: 7-5-08:13, by demolition.
2. The Director of Finance will forward a copy of the
resolution to the State of Hawaii, Library System.
