Takahashi, dated February 6, 1998, submitting in compliance with Chapter 2, Article 25 of the Hawaii County Code, applications from qualifying organizations and a list showing amounts requested for Council's review and appropriation of funds for FY 1998-99. Comm. 745.01: From Lester D. Oahiro, Board of Directors, Hawaii Island Adult Care, Inc., (HIAC) dated December 24, 1997, stating because of continued drastic financial cutbacks from Federal and State funds for their financially needy seniors attending their center, seeks Council's financial support to allow HIAC to continue to successfully serve the frail elderly, physically/mentally challenged adults and persons with Alzheimer's disease here on the Big Island. Comm. 745.04: From Aaron N. Nagata, Acting Administrator, East Hawaii Adult and Community Care Services Division, State Department of Human Services, dated January 30, 1998, supporting Hawaii Island Adult Care, Inc.'s application for funds for reasons, as listed. Comm. 672: KONA FAMILY YMCA From Councilmember J. Curtis Tyler, III, dated January 9, 1998, transmitting a communication from Stephen P. Bobko-Hillenaar, Chairman, Board of Managers of the Kona Family YMCA, dated November 19, 1997, requesting financial help towards the purchase of a new van for their organization, and submitting a list of the programs that they currently offer. GOVERNMENT ACCESS TELEVISION: Channel 9 (Hilo) and Channel 12 (Kona) The Public Works & Parks Committee and Finance Committee meetings can be seen on Tuesday, March 17, at 8:30 p.m. and, Tuesday, March 24 at 8:30 p.m. The Planning Committee meeting can be seen on Thursday, March 19 at 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m. All the above meetings will be aired on Sunday, March 29, at 9 a.m.
