RESOLUTION
+WHEREAS, under the Rules and Regulations of the Hawaii County
Band, Department of Parks and Recreation, the band is divided into
seven sections for administrative purposes; and
4dHEREAS, the Assistant Band Director leads one section and the
other six sections each have a designated Section Leader (at the
MC-5 level); and
WHEREAS, members with over 20 years service were "grandfathered"
in at the MC-5 level; and
WHEREAS, when a "grandfathered" member retires, it is the desire
of the Band Director to downgrade that position number as the newly
recruited member will not be a "section leader"; and
P7HEREAS, the person formerly occupying Position No. B0003 has
retired; and
WHEREAS, Position No. B0004 had been temporarily downgraded,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that Position Nos. B0003 and B0004 be and are permanent
downgraded to the MC-4 level to conform with the Rules and
Regulations of the Hawaii County Band.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Departments of Parks & Recreation, Civil Service
and Finance.
