WHEREAS, Lorraine R, Inouye will re~inr. as a Councilwoman of the
County of Hawaii as of .Tune 30, 1490 in order ko seek the elected
office of Mayor; and
FIHF.P.EAS, Lorraine R, Inouye was first appointed as a County
Councilwoman in 1°84 filling a Councilmember at-large seat; and
4'HF..RF.AS, Lorraine R. Inouye has sircP been elected twice as a
County Councilmember and has served a total of 5 3/4 years; and
WHEREAS, ~urino her tenure, hesides serving on various
committees, Lo r.raine R. Inouye has chaired hoth the Economic
Development Corr.ir,tee and thA Financ? Committee; and
WHF.RFAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is truly
