ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), AS AMENDED, RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 11, division 1, section 24-300, schedule 4 (25 mile per
hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), as amended, is
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
~ Mauna Loa Estates Subdivision.
All streets.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 11, division 2, section 24-307, schedule 11 (Stop
intersections), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), as amended,
is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
u Mauna Loa Estates Subdivision.
Lanihuli Road at Third Street.
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 11, division 2, section 24-308, schedule 12 (Through
streets), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), as amended, is
amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
~ Mauna Loa Estates Subdivision.
u Jade Avenue. except at Hiehway 11.
Ruby Avenue, except at First Street.
(,3~ Pearl Avenue, except at Highwaxl 1.
SECTION 4. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring
need not be included.
SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.

SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
